I want to get to a healthy weight so I avoid the heart disease that runs in my family. Doing that will not only help me it will help my whole family. I found in Nov 2011 that I have hypothyroidism, so I am trying to learn how to manage that. I also have PCOS. At least I have a reason why it's so darned hard to lose this weight. But I, scratch that...I am doing it!

I have been over weight most of my life. Although when I look back at my high school pictures I wasn't as big as I felt. I was about 25 lbs overweight but felt like I weighed two tons. My sister & all of my friends were anorexic & I was not. So I think I would have looked & felt fat compared to them no matter what. If only I had known then what I know now...don't we all feel like that though?

I am a Pescetarian but not always a good one, I fall off the wagon right onto a pepporoni pizza once & awhile. I love it but it doesn't love me back. I feel so much better when I don't eat meat, when I do I get tired & lethargic. So that's good motivation for me not to do it. I also don't exercise nearly enough, even though I know how much more energy I have when I do. I am trying to get better at consistency all the way around. I want to get off of this roller coaster ride once & for all.

I quit smoking in 2002 (after 13yrs @1.5pk a day!). When it comes to losing weight, keeping it off that is not as easy. I embrace the fact that I will have to stick with a healthy lifestyle and not a diet. It going to take a lot of work to reach my goals. I am going to reach them though, one step at a time.

I live in Eastern KS but am from Nevada & I miss the desert every single day. My husband is a KS farm boy born & raised so I am stuck here for now. One day I will move back. The sooner the better, as far as I am concerned.

I have 3 beautiful children. I am a stay at home mom. I have a wonderful husband who loves me no matter what. I want to be a better example for my family. So here I go again - Wish me luck!
