Old Dog - Still Learning New Tricks

Long time fitness buff. While never being truly overweight, I have a hard time keeping my body fat percentage under control. I continue to strength train a few times a week. I've added swimming and bike riding into my fitness plan recently. Trying to do twice a week on each.

I started running at age 64, now 4 years later I've logged a few miles, including 6 marathons.

Dear Vic,

I am glad you found my “Wildflower” blog a “bright spot”. I try to keep my blogs about fitness and/or nutrition. This one was more about the beauty of the things I see day-to-day as I walk my dog, run or ride my bike.

I never really know what I am going to write when I start a blog. The flooding of Cherry Creek and the Platte River has put a damper on running or bike riding along the Cherry Creek path. But all the water has really brought the arid mountains to life.
