Hi! I'm a full-time working mom of a twelve year old daughter and a ten year old son. Hi! I'm a full-time working mom of a twelve year old daughter and a ten year old son. Since it's been ten years, I figure it's time to stop using the "I've had a couple of kids" excuse for why I'm so overweight and out of shape! I joined SparkPeople a couple of years ago and have been on and off since then. We've moved to a new area (an area where people are so active!) and I've established exercise routines with other people to help hold me accountable. I've always wanted to look and feel better at 40 than I did at 30 (5 months after having my son). I have just over 3 months to meet that goal! I'm glad to be a part of the team. Each and every one of you is an inspiration! Thanks for the motivation and encouragement!

My Goals:
My long term goal is to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight and develop good eating and exercise habits in order to be healthier and a better role model for my children.
My Program:
Walking with a friend twice a week (also provides a much needed social outlet since I work at home). Strength training and cardio 3 days per week with another friend. Additional workouts in the evenings with my daughter at the gym as her schedule allows. Writing down EVERYTHING I eat! I've now added the Couch to 5K program, on the 2 days I walk with my friend (our walk is my warmup) and Saturday. So now working out at something 6 days per week.
