Be a Force! Be the Movement!
While creating my goal collage, I came across a clipping that read, "a force that tramples down walls and eradicates excuses." As the words jumped off that paper, I immediately internalized the phrase. It became an integral part of my goals for 2013 and beyond. There is a lot to be thankful for, plan for, and do. I resolve to be the movement and make my "To Do" list a "To Done" list!

My Goals:
I've succeeded in incorporating healthy nutrition and exercise into my daily life again. Forgetting all previously achieved goals, I'm setting my eyes forward on what's to come. Short Term Goal: Get back to a 10 minute mile. Medium Term Goals: Make my goal weight by mid March, 2010. Long Term Goal: Be prepared to carry another healthy pregnancy at a healthy weight and lose the weight a third time! Afterward, to train for and run the Marine Corps Marathon. Completed Goals: -First 5K, June '08 -Climbed Mt. Fuji, Aug. '08 -Completed aerobics instructor cert., Sept. '08 -Delivered healthy twins, July '09 -Delivered healthy niece, Aug. '11
My Program:
To accomplish my fitness & weight goals, I am paying close attention to my nutrition and striving to eat a paleo diet. I have cut sugar from my diet, am drinking my 8 glasses of water each day, and eating plenty of veggies, fruits, and lean meats. For exercise, I mostly walk or jog and chase my twin toddlers around. Additionally, I make sure I'm getting a solid 7-8 hours of sleep each night.
Personal Information:
I am a married mom of three, a Navy wife, and a Navy veteran. I began SP in February '08 and lost a total of 61 pounds before becoming pregnant with twins. That was part of my goal for weight loss - to be better able to conceive. After having the twins, I went on to be a surrogate for my sister - giving birth to my niece in August 2011. My weight has yo-yo'd with the two pregnancies, but I'm ready to reclaim the success I achieved in 2008 prior to having my twins. I love singing, music, reading, writing, exploring, being creative, spending time with family and friends, traveling and meeting people. I enjoy trying different sports and though I don't do it as often as I would like, I really enjoy racquetball, tennis, downhill skiing, volleyball, rowing, and martial arts.
Other Information:
I have had my ups and downs. I let the downs contribute to my weight gain over the years through eating emotionally. I won't detail the pains, not because I can't talk about them, but because I believe in practicing Philippians 4:8 which says, "whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." I will continue to dwell on the positive of life, of myself, my circumstances and count them all for good - for without them I would not grow!
