Welcome to my Spark home

Welcome to my Spark page. I am 63 years old and a retired speciaI education teacher (non categorical preschool).
My husband and I have a 3 year old rescue beagle named Buster. He is a bundle of energy and makes us laugh. He has eerily similar traits that we saw in our last 2 rescue beagles. He's very sweet and lots of fun for us.
Our daughter, husband and her 3 children (my adorable grandchildren) live about 25 minutes from us. They also have an old rescue beagle. I am so ...

Our son is married to a great woman. They have his rescue beagle (see a pattern in our family?) and her two cats. They live about 10 minutes from us but are looking for a larger place! Hopefully, they won't move too far!
I joined Spark in December 2009 and, like everyone, life has thrown me some curves as well as blessed me in many ways! Although I struggle with consistency, my main struggle seems to always be with exercise. It seems I do fine for awhile and then I get off track. I always go back to the basics but it does get discouraging.
I'm trying to focus on being a healthy me with the energy to have fun with my family!

Beth I would love to find a sunflower farm in Maine. I will have to look it up on the web. our GS is living in thje RV, I am so happy he is using it and also loving it. He has been a great helper to DH nad I and the youngest son and wife like him and his x-box They have him laughing chatting and socializing. I am just getting frustrated that they have no resources. I had no clue so it is hard on DH and I we are not getting out this summer and summer is so short ere in Maine.
Thanks for your friendship and support. I hope you enjoy your day dear friend. Those Golden beauties will be a glorious sight. I hope they sell seeds and made seeds from them. Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thanks, we are really pooped from taking care of Reekie but he is so worth it. He's such a cute and sweet little boy.

He seems to be having a better day so far. He is worn out from all of this. I hope he's strong enough to make it through it.

Practically the only time we hear from Ian is when he has a problem. LOL. We have become smarter and more useful. Still not interesting but that is too much to expect. LOL.

You raised him will with good values and morals. Although our boys seemed to ignore us for umpteen years some of that stuff was soaking in just like it did from our parents. Your son and his wife may need some advice from time to time and once he has a kid you and your hubby won't be quite as dumb then and they may seek you out. LOL. I never had a true appreciation for my mom and how she made it all look so easy until I was married and later had a child. Benny and I got advice from our parents up until the day they were gone.

Say a prayer for little Reekie. He is not feeling good today.

Thank you! I am doing ok; just having the same ups and downs with the pain issues; no new pain anyway, so that is a good sign, and still dealing with the fatigue, but that's really no worse either. A lot of things other than cancer can make tumor markers go up, and mine have been up before but without any spread of the cancer.
