Starting Over

My Goals:
I must make changes if I'm going to get my blood sugar stable.
I must make changes if I'm going to be healthy enough to be a good mom to my daughter.
I will control my eating and my exercise and take all my meds so that I can meet both of those goals!
My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals.
I began this by fighting like it was a war, but it didn't work.
So now I'm walking. I walk every day, trying to get a little farther every day. I'm hoping to walk (figuratively) to the beach!
I'm increasing my protein and decreasing my sugar.

I'm Becky. I'm 39. I'm from Reading, PA and I currently live in Schuylkill County PA. I have 1 teenage daughter.
Other Information:
Last year at this time, I swore I wasn't going to lose another loved one to diabetes. Sadly, I have lost the one person I didn't want to lose, my husband.
Carl taught me how to take my insulin, and helped me get my blood sugar under control for the first time in years. Every time I take that shot, I think about what he'd want me to do. Carl is my motivation.
