Actually, I have yet to meet a Veteran who would be offended by any "grandmotherly type" asking if they can hug them to say "thank you for your service" None of the wives ever seem to mind, either (well, maybe if you are the vet's ex...rofl).
So, the next time you see a Military Service Person and feel like giving them a hug? Just say so! Even if they politely refuse (sometimes there are regulations about "appropriate behavior" thanks to the politically correct morons out there) I can guarantee you made their day! And they will remember you the next time they hear something negative about their service. 885 days ago
Hey there my dear! Check out my blogs, I have been up to heaps of stuff, in a quiet, gardeny, chooky kind of way. I see things have not gone easily for you and wonder, how are you doing with your sleep goals because it might be a great opportunity to sort this out, with tie knees not quite what you would hope for at the moment... 1333 days ago
Thanks for the encouragement on my blog today. I really am trying to let God's plan unfold. It just feels like nothing I do is right or enough. And when they said that eating properly has made it heal too fast and scar even more? Well, that was just the last straw today. I'm sure you know how I feel. I have been pouring my frustration into pushing my exercises (yes, until I am in tears and just can't do any more) and then working on my prayer shawl and sock monkey cozies. It didn't help today when they made an error in one of my prescriptions that could have caused me to have heart problems if I had taken it as prescribed! Thank God I noticed the pills were different sized! But things will settle down and God will work it out. He always does. I'm just feeling frightened and lost right now, especially with just losing my uncle on New Year's day. Hopefully I will be back to normal soon. Thank you again for being such a great help. 1385 days ago
