Still climbing after all these years

Welcome to my little corner of the Spark universe. I'm not sure if I'm still climbing or starting to climb again. It doesn't matter. Life is a journey, and every day starts with a single step (and hopefully adds up to over 10,000 on my Spark activity tracker). The friends I've met on SparkPeople are the best part of the journey.

After many years of taking care of others, it's now time to take care of myself. I quit dieting several years ago. While it hasn't gone all that well, dieting didn't either. Step by step I've managed to make major changes to my diet over the years. I believe these changes will gain momentum and I will feel better, lose weight and improve my health.

I am an over-50 father of one. I lost my wife to cancer in 2014 after an 11 year battle with the disease. I live and work in the Seattle area.

HI Brian !!! WOOHOOO we have LANDED the PLANE !!! What is it you'd like to do here??? Some snorkeling? Water Parachuting? ,,, how about a HIKE up a mountain range???? Walking down a waterfall with hooks on ur feet,,, hands? (NEW AND FUN !) Sky Diving? Watch a Soccer Game in PERSON ,, since here in the states its NOT easy to find one on a professional level ! WOOHOOO !!

We are scouting out the restaurants for tasty dishes !! WOOHOOO !! Some with things we've NOT TRIED !! YUMMY !!!
