I''m not gaining speed, just slowing down less than everyone else!

I have been a "sparker" since 2008, left and now return for a re-do. I pray, hope, and plan to make this re-do stick. Live and learn!!! I have lived at times somewhat recklessly (haven't we all?). My compass has taken me to a very comfortable place in life, and I do not want to be sedentary. I want to live life to the fullest until I'm very old and gray.
I am back in the fight to regain my health, and live the life I want to live without the issue of weight (loss enough to not feel so much knee and back pain) and immobility to contend with!

Long Range GOALS:
Be at a comfortable weight.

Goal: eat sensibly



My Program:
1) Tracking my food intake. WATER, WATER, WATER.

2) EXERCISE like a banshee 4 days a week. NO EXCUSES!!!!

4) Try new recipes that are lower in fat and healthy.

5) Eat less meat. Vegetarian day once a week.

Personal Information:
I live just outside of Chicago, with my 2 grown sons, and nut job German Shepher. I love my work as an, RN in Hematology Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant I just cut to part time, pre-retirement, to enjoy life and my many hobbies. For fun and entertainment I like to gardening, training my german shepherd, kayaking and being outdoors, exercise, cooking, doing home repairs and decorating, travel and going out to a variety of activities with friends.

Other Information:
I work night shift and it's just plain ridiculously hard on your health! But I am persevering with the hope that I can gleen some good habits and teach others who work nights what I've learned.
