Consistency is my number one exercise goal. My exercise plan is: Monday walking and yoga; Tuesday walking or elliptical and strength; Wednesday walking and yoga; Thursday walking or elliptical and strength; Friday walking and yoga; Saturday walking or hiking; Sunday rest day but active. My goal is to cover 7,500 steps daily, or an average of 7,500 steps every day.

Spring 5% Nutrition Plan:

I have been following the Weight Watchers nutrition plan, but also aiming to eat clean, limiting processed foods and sugar.
My pledge for the Spring 5% Challenge is to make this the time to achieve my goals while continuing to heal from the loss of my best friend and husband on November 12, 2013. I am here to inspire, support and motivate others in their journey while receiving the same on my journey.

On my team page I will daily record my exercise and Living the Good Life points, and I will weigh and record my weight weekly. I will check with my team at least three times per week. I will visit team members' pages and blogs as much as I can.

I will STAY FOCUSED and NEVER GIVE UP!

Personal Information:
My name is Barbara, aka Barbie. I live in Roseburg, Oregon. I will turn 65 in May, widowed on November 12, 2013. I have three children, a grown daughter who has a 22 year old daughter and a 16 year old son; a grown son who has a son who will be 18 at the end of April; and I had one son who died 22 years ago at the age of 15+ in a downhill skiing accident. I retired just a couple of months before my husband became so ill, so now that he is gone, I am still learning how to fill my days, and fix meals for one.

Other Information:
I got a dog after my husband's death, a Padderdale Terrier (looks like a miniature black lab), named Marv in memory of my husband who had a collection of Marvin the Martian things.
I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, card making, quilting, and knitting. I am learning how to take care of the lawn and garden which were Bill's pride and joy. I love the sunshine and being outdoors.

Quote by Coach Nicole: Exercise is not a means to an end. It's a tool for living your best life.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Rules of Chocolate Easter Eggs ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
If you get melted chocolate all over your hands, you're eating it too slowly.
Chocolate covered raisins, cherries, orange slices and strawberries all count as fruit, so eat as many as you want.
Diet tip: Eat an Easter egg before each meal.
It'll take the edge off your appetite, and that way you'll eat less.
If you can't eat all your chocolate, it will keep in the freezer. But if you can't eat all your chocolate, what's wrong with you?
If calories are an issue, store your chocolate on top of the fridge. Calories are afraid of heights, and they will jump out of the chocolate to protect themselves.
Money talks. Chocolate sings.
Chocolate has many preservatives. Preservatives make you look younger.
The problem: How to get two pounds of chocolate eggs home from the store in a hot car.
The solution: Eat the eggs in the car park.
Why is there no such organization as Chocoholics Anonymous?
Because no one wants to quit.
