All of us have had obstacles to overcome in our lives. Our growth comes with handling these obstacles in a way that does not harm our bodies.

Over the last 10 years, the following list has been a constant in my life. I personalized it , putting in my own goals. I still do not have all ten items, but I know what I am striving for. I look at my list everyday.

Ten items Needed For Success

1. I have a clear conception of what I want out of life.

2. I have plotted interim steps to get me to my final destination.

3. I have written down these short and long-term goals.

4. I look at my goals regularly to make sure that I am not drifting
off course and that they still reflect what I want.

5. I take action daily that in some way furthers my goals.

6. I evaluate my behavior frequently to make sure that I am not
behaving in a way that is counter productive to achieving my
goals.

7. I make myself happy.

8. I make others happy.

9. I spend time with people whose company I enjoy.

10. I have a support group that I can count on when I need it and
that can count on me when they need it.

My Goals:
To keep Cerebral Palsy from lowering the quality of my life.

To tone and strengthen my muscles.

To lose weight.

Not to fall or lose my balance when I am outside with my walker.


My Program:
I go to the gym six days a week. I joined the gym in March 2008. I have taught myself to walk on my heels and to be able to raise my hands over my head.

I take a walk daily.

I smile at every person I meet. If they do not smile back, it is their lost opportunity. I am ready with a smile for the next person in my path.

I write in my Gratitude Journal.

I volunteer at my Senior Center.

I spend time every day getting to know all the tools available on this
site to help me reach my goals.






Personal Information:
I am 57 years old (the 0214 is my birthay).

I live in the San Fernando Valley, which is 20 miles North of Los Angeles, CA.

My hobbies include reading, old movies, scrapbooking and cooking.
