I started using spark in 2011 even though I signed up in 2010. I began at 197 lbs. I also faced a meniscus tear in a knee that was repaired successfully. This SCARED me into putting my health first. I was terrified of immobility.
I reached 140 lb. goal by my weigh in on January 31st/
LATEST UPDATE: I reached my goal weight of 135 lbs. by my 60th milestone. (August 21, 2016.)

Since then I am in maintenance mode. Keeping my MOVEMENT consistent, challenging myself to reach FURTHER outside of my comfort zone, & be aware of the food choices & portions I eat are a combined part of my healthy living EVERY day...Living, laughing & LOVING LIFE is the BEST benefit this journey has given me. Reach for your DREAMS...they are attainable!!!!

long term-to reach 135 lbs.
by August 21. /2016.
to gain upper body strength while toning & defining muscle
to have a positive & healthy retirement
short term...using NSV's, food & fitness tracking, no eating after dinner & staying within my calorie amount of 1650 a day
daily form of movement 10 min.+/day, 10,000 steps

I am a VON fitness leader which helps keep me active leading high mobility sessions with seniors.

    Psssssst.........................lean a little closer and I'll whisper the answer in your ear: We "do" what we do because very little of this has to do with weight. Weight, in my view, is a symptom of something much larger.

    I truly believe that once that component is worked out, the rest will follow. Aaaand it will be for the last time.

    Hmm I don't know if the fitbit band fits the one. Seems they have a certain band replacement design for each model. Saw on Amazon they have loads of different types too :)

    Thanks for your comment on my blog - "diet" is a funny word as my diet is one the focuses on healthy food but I'm not on a "diet." While no food is off limits there are a few I choose to not eat or rarely eat mostly for animal rights reasons.
