Some encouragement here!

I have been struggling with my weight for years, but never ever believed in fad diets. I am not a Yo Yo dieter, but my wieght has been climbing gradually over the years. I am now 5 pounds less than when I was full term with one of my daughters!! I am an emotional junk-food binger, and sometimes I can keep it in check but it has been harder the last few months. I am so at risk for diabeties, I wouldn't be surprised if I have it in 3 years or so.. unless I change my bad habits!! I apreciate ...

I apreciate this site which is very encouraging to me, with the small goals it presents. I feel like there is a possibility I can actually achieve my goals!

3/22/12 Showing signs of pre-diabetes. Fasting Bood sugar today was 116. Too high...I changed my SparkDiet over to the Pre-Diabetes setting.

5/24/12 Fasting glucose is down to 104, and I have lost 27 pounds! (Lately my eating has been terrible, but I am trying to work my way back to healthier haibts!) I haven't given up!
Oh and I got my itunes reward, but I haven't bought an outfit yet!

My Goals:
My goals are to have healthier habits so that hopefully, Diabeties won't catch up to me, like it has with too many of my family members. My healthy habits will include daily excercise, and a lower level of suger in my diet, along with a healthy amount of fruits and vegetables. I also want to be more aware of what I am eating, and stop binging on sweets.
Goals by the poud:
230lbs by 4/30/12: 1 itune(goal acheived 4/10/12)
225lbs by 5/20/12: 2 itunes
220lbs by 6/15/12: new outfit

My Program:
My program includes tracking my water drinking, along with tracking my foods so that I am more aware of what I am putting into my body. I also includes having a goal of excercising 20 mins or more everyday, and to make it a long streak!

Personal Information:
I am a California girl, born and raised. I have three beautiful kids. I love music, and reading, and I am heading towards loving myself as well. I am very close to my family, and it kills me that we are four hours apart! And just for future refference, don't worry about sending me any holiday goodies, because I just don't celebrate any holidays. It's a personal choice I have made.

Other Information:
I love the book Jane Eyre. I also love to read the Bible. My favorite book of the Bible is Proverbs. One verse that is my favorite, is at Proverbs 25:11 "As apples of gold in silver carvings is a word spoken at the right time for it". If you can say something good to somebody, don't hesitate to say it! I learned early on in life how to be tactful and aware of a persons feelings. Knowing when to speak and when to be quiet can be a challenge! Encouragement, the art of listening, and empathy are also a big part of it. I am also a BIG David Cook fan. My favorite song of his? Umm....all of them, but right now, 'Come Back to Me'

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Definitely good ideas there. We do plan our meals ahead, and he totally had carbs on the meal plan. He just didn't actually make them, lol.

Id like to invite you to join in my challenge to lose 10 pound in July. i know some of us might be saying 10 pounds? that is too much! cant do it! But i here to tell u i did it for 7 months straight, b4 i got sick with cancer and had dropped out for a yr and a half. if u stay within ur calories that are alotted and if u track everything that passes ur lips u can do it too. I was never one that stayed on a diet more than 3 weeks at a time, and then I'd get discouraged and dropped off. i lost 75 pounds just doing calorie counting and tracking to make sure i never went over. i barely exercised ...i am handicapped and i cant do exercises in the conventional way but i flapped my arms while sitting and leg raises. very minimal stuff. the idea was to keep moving and i did that. so i know with disipline, encouragement and motivation u can too.. so i invite u to come and join me on my 10 pound challenge! emoticon emoticon
