Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference. ~ Winston Churchill I am tearing off a new page this spring to reach my weight loss and lifestyle goals. Keeping my motivation high and staying active remain the two biggest obstacles I want to overcome. I regained the twenty pounds from my heaviest weight, and I have a further twenty I want to lose. By no means has this been an even, steady, or even straight journey. In the meantime I measure other milestones and believe the change of attitude and thinking during this journey proves every bit as essential as another pound down, another few centimeters shaved off my waistline. My boyfriend and my family are unceasingly supportive, and as I build myself back up to where I feel healthier and my body responds, I start to see what they are talking about. My own worst enemy, always, has been me. It's the critical voice that tells me I didn't go to the gym today. It's the whisper that I could just put something off til tomorrow instead of doing it today. Negatives are easy to see, positives take more work. I mean to put those demons to bed and let myself shine fearlessly, courageously, and telling myself I have nothing to lose except my old habits and fears.
