Needs Motivation!

Hi Everyone! Well, I finally lost some pounds but mostly due to surgery. Not the way I wanted to lose it but hey, I'll take it...LOL. Now, my goal is to keep it off. Along with you , my fellow Shape Up Health Life team, lets all set some goals and support each other to meet our goals. Who is up for the challenge? Whats your goal?

hello, how are you making out getting rid of those 20 pounds? I lost all of my weight before becoming a runner. I also gain weight when I train. Last year I trained for a marathon and gained about 7 pounds. i really doesn't sound fair does it. For the past 16 days I have given up eating in the evening. I hope that will be enough to eventually lose those few pounds. gail

Thanks for your comment on my page! I am so glad that you finished Disney! Congrats to you! I am excited that you may be doing the same runs as me! I think I am going to take your advice and look into the ING in September.
You asked about my training...I did the Team in Training for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society so I still follow their schedule. Since Broad street is so far away my long run (fridays) is only 3 miles and my 2 short runs per week are 2 miles. If you need any info on how they train let me know and I can forward you the email that contains the schedule they made for me.
If you get a chance let me know how your training was fro Disney. I could use all the motivation that I can get!

Good Luck at Disney! I trained with Team in Training this fall, but fell short of fundraising otherwise I would be there with you! Instead, I ran the AC Half in October. I am training now for the Delaware 1/2 and the Broad Street run before. Please let me know how disney goes. My heart is there with you. Hello and Welcome to Sparks. Congrats on making this step to getting healthy. You will find a lot of info here and there are many waiting to encourage you. Find teams that meet your needs then post every day. That will help you stay accountable. Don't let yourself get overwhelmed here. It will take a couple of weeks before you really feel like you know what your doing. If you have questions please ask. All of us were new once and had to ask ourselves. And do not ever give up.
