Healthy Living
I'm a snow bird and enjoy living in both places. I like reading, painting and traveling. Enjoy following my kids and grandkids in their activities. I have beem with sparkpeople now for 3 years and am getting very close to my first goal. It has taken be a long time to get to this point, the last 5 lbs. seems to be taking the longest. I'm a snow bird and enjoy living in both places. I like reading, painting and traveling. Enjoy following my kids and grandkids in their activities. I have beem with sparkpeople now for 3 years and am getting very close to my first goal. It has taken be a long time to get to this point, the last 5 lbs. seems to be taking the longest. At times I have been discouraged, but I know I will never give up. Sparkpeople is just what I needed, with everything they have to offer, nutrition tracking, fitness tracking, goal tracking and new and supportive friendships on the teams. Not having the internet for at least 5 months of each year, has made it more difficult but it has also helped me learn to maintain as I have traveled this weight loss journey. I will continue as often as I can to be on the site. Continuing to try to lose more by setting a new goal, as soon as I reach this one, and I will reach it! Not just because I would like to look and feel better in my clothes, but I know eating properly and losing weight is the best thing I can do for my many health issues. Our new way of eating is also making a big difference in my husbands health. I am cooking with his health problems in mind as well as my own and by setting an example of eating properly it is encouraging him to do the same.
