Finding Me Again!

It is time to find a happier me. It is time to make myself a priority. It is time to learn to eat healthy food, to find exercises I enjoy doing and to mark my successes based on my best effort not someone else’s ideals. It is time to find me again…will the real me please step forward and commit to a healthy lifestyle that includes lots of laughter, love and fun? Today is the day to make a difference in my own life.

My goal is to loose 40 pounds by March 8, 2014.

My Goals:
1. To improve my overall health and well-being by loosing 40 pounds by March 8, 2014.
2. Work on emotional eating issues and create a positive self-image by taking better care of my self by providing myself with healthy food options and a wide-variety of exercise.

My Program:
1. Drink 8+ glasses of water daily.
2. Eat 5+ servings of vegetables/fruits daily.
3. Exercise 30+ minutes daily.
4. Track my nutrition and fitness daily.
5. Participate in a 5K event monthly starting in August 2013.
6. Wear my pedometer to achieve 10,000 steps daily.
7. Get between 7-9 hours of sleep a night.
8. Read something educational, motivational or inspirational each day in order to educate myself about nutrition, exercise and how to live a health lifestyle.
9. Weigh myself every two weeks to see if I am on track but base my successes not on what the scale says but rather what my changing body shape is, my daily actions/activities, reaching non-weight goals and how I feel each day.

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

Get ready for a healthy week, Sparkfriend! You know what you want, and you know what you need to do in order to make it happen...so just do it! Push yourself, even if you don't feel like it...because you really are worth the effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
-Robert McKain

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."

"The first step to living the life you want is leaving the life you don't want.
Taking the first step forward is always the hardest.
But then each step forward gets easier and easier.
Each step forward gets you closer and closer until eventually, what had once been invisible starts to be visible.
And what had once felt impossible starts to feel possible."
