Hey!! Thank you so much for your reply to my question! You provided some really great info!! I am actually running the Ottawa Race weekend 5k. Of course I am doing it for fun since it's my first, but I am a person for whom numbers matter (and help me progress), so my time is a little important to me!! This year you pick the corral when you register. Right now I am in the 30-35, but I think that I will change it so that I can start at the back of the 25-30 corral. No matter what, I'll be running my first 5k, and that's what matters!!
Thank you so much for suggesting the somersault website. It looks awesome, and I will definitely join some of those races!! I was looking to do a couple more 5ks this summer and a 10k by the end of it, so it's great to know there are lots of events going on!!
Thanks for your response to my post regarding quick cooking vs. steel cut oats. You have reiterated what I thought, but I wanted some feedback from the SparkPeople community. I don't use instant. I'll probably keep using the quick cooking.
