Making Me Over The Way I Want To Be!

I did this once, I can do it again.

-I didn't think I could do it but in 2007 I took off more than 100 pounds.
-I was certain I could be one of the few who wouldn't gain after two years of maintenance but I gained 50 pounds during pregnancy that I have yet to lose (three years later).
-I thought it would be easy to lose because it went like gangbusters before but I over estimated my energy and underestimated my post-birth life.

The failure isn't over ...

The failure isn't over confidence or lack of desire. My failure is in comparing myself to another me.

We are changing creatures who have very little in common with our past selves. Beyond a memory that links our metamorphosis day by day, our cells grow and die until we are entirely new beings. Our tastes evolve, our reasoning influenced, the people and habits we visit daily inevitably change. Why should we expect something that worked (or didn't) years ago to be exactly the same now?

Every day is new and with it an attempt to be the best me I can be.

If I get down to my goal weight, I'll cheer. If I lose one pound, I'll celebrate. If I stay the same size and tried my best, I'll be happy.

My Goals:
My overall goal is to be healthier and make my outsides match my insides. And make my insides as healthy as they can be.

I weighed 280 pounds and my goal weight is 160 pounds.

I'm losing the weight by balancing work and play. And why not make work into play?

My Program:
I'm eating healthier, making my own meals, exercising through activities I love and using every chance to make smarter and wiser choices.

ie. more homemade, eating fresher organic foods, walking and biking, deciding on activity rather than inactivity.

Goals and rewards:
G: Lose 10 pounds by Dec. 10th, 2011, weigh 225 lbs.
R: Haircut
Completed:

G: Lose 10 pounds by Jan. 18, 2012, weigh 215 lbs.
R: Remove ill-fitting clothes, pull out better fitting clothes.

G: Lose 10 pounds by Feb. 25, 2012, weigh 205 lbs.
R: Fine portrait.

G: Lose 10 pounds by Mar. 1, 2012, weigh 195 lbs.
R: New hair by favorite professional.

G: Lose 10 pounds by April 10, 2012, weigh 185 lbs.
R: Clothes!

G: Lose 10 pounds by May 18, 2012, weigh 175 lbs.
R: 12-speed bike.

G: Lose 10 pounds by June 20, 2012, weigh 165 lbs.
R: A week long vacation doing nothing at home.

G: Lose 5 pounds by July 10, 2012

Personal Information:
Living on the edge of a bigger city, in a smaller city, in a townhouse with a cute backyard somewhere in the midwest. I've lived in a lot of different places and want to go to a lot more. I have a big family. When it's time for me to start my own, we'll keep the number low. For now it's me, my husband and two obsessive-compulsive cats.

Other Information:
I like video games, books, travel, movies, photography, large crowds, cities, lists, organizational tools, bags, homemade, cooking, yoga, theater, going shoeless, robots, peanut butter and chocolate, drawing, ink washes, chalk boards, word games, Summer and Spring, friends, writing, environmentally conscious conservers, dangly earrings, fancy shoes, textured stockings, living museums, gardening, animals, disaster flicks, rock climbing, swimming, wrapping presents, scary stories, the smell and feel of fresh sheets, vacations, day planners, calligraphy pens, nice pens in general, crayons, sketching, singing, backpacking/camping, painting, internet surfing, slippers, monkeys, Fritos and osculating fans.
