Entering year 3 - catching my second wind

Time for a refresher...

My name is Andrea. I've been on spark 2 years this month...but the last 6 months I've been absent. My job was totally interfering with my personal life and I was unable to get back on the horse. Now, although I am jobless again, I have the time and energy to get back to sparking and finish this once and for all! I gained 15-20lbs during my 6 months off so I've got some catching up to do, but I'm ok with that. And I have to fall in love with the gym ...
Time for a refresher...

My name is Andrea. I've been on spark 2 years this month...but the last 6 months I've been absent. My job was totally interfering with my personal life and I was unable to get back on the horse. Now, although I am jobless again, I have the time and energy to get back to sparking and finish this once and for all! I gained 15-20lbs during my 6 months off so I've got some catching up to do, but I'm ok with that. And I have to fall in love with the gym again...which might mean changing locations. But I'm back and ready to get healthy!

Now...as to the rest of my story. I have struggled with self-esteem and confidence issues for as long as I can remember. It's always been tied to my weight and how I look and feel about myself. Now that I'm growing up and looking to the future, I'm ready to finally make some permanent changes in my life. It won't be easy. I've tried WW too many times to count, slim fast, a protien shake fast, and other ways I don't even remember the names of.

My goal (right now) is to lose as much as possible (within reason) by October when plans for a family are put into play. Ultimately I'd like to be down to 170-175 by then but I know that's unrealistic. So for now, I'll be happy to be near the 190 mark.

In August 2009, I re-dedicated myself to spark and commited to a 2 year membership at a local gym. Things are definitely going slowly, but I'm learning a lot along the way. (That 2 year membership is now over...crazy!)

I burned 500 calories yesterday from hiking with dad and going for a 10 minute run! .... then mom and dad brought domino's home for dinner...... ...... ...... ......... :(
