Hi.. I have gained some 50 pounds over the last 15 years and want to lose it! I would like to be fit and and go back to a healthy weight again!!
I have been trying since Apr 2009 and had lost 35 of those pounds in the 8 months thereafter.
After 2 pregnancy losses and a one year old baby, I now find myself with another 34 pounds to lose.

My Program:
Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
Walk 4 kms a day, atleast 5-6 days a week.
Eat breakfast @ home on all days of the week.
Eat dinner @ home on all working days.
Pack lunch to work, whenever possible.
No cookies / chocolates / soda at home. If I feel the urge, I need to feel it strong enough to go to the store and buy it myself - one packet at a time.
Limit sugar to 3 tsp a day
Avoid buffets - lunch or dinner
Snack on non sweet items - popcorn, peanut butter

39 years old.
Married
Diagonised with PCOS.

Other Information:
April 2009: Started @ 96 kg.
June 2009: Joined Spark @ 90 kg
July 2009 - Moved from Obese to Overweight on the BMI scale (YOOHOO!)
Sep 2009 - Scale stands @ 80 kg.
Jan 2011 - 2 Pregnancy Losses later, Scale @ 85kg
May 2013 - Have a year old baby, Scale @ 87kg

I love that you're focusing on those NSVs, ALL4! I log my calories, and I like to know how much I weigh so I can be sure I'm consuming the appropriate amount. I'm like you, though, it doesn't get in my head...anymore.

There are folks out there who are true addicts, obsessed with those numbers and who really are terribly hard on themselves when they don't see instant results. It's heart wrenching, really, because they are only focusing on the negative and illogical instead of focusing on the positive and logical (like the NSVs and the fact that they are making great changes in other ways and this didn't happen to them overnight, it's not going to change overnight).

I keep hearing Pink's lyrics, "Change the voices in your head, make them like you instead."
