Pressing Forward Again

Funny thing happened after reaching my goal weight, you guessed it I gained 14 pounds! How could I have done this to myself after working so hard for years to get to that goal. Unfortunately I'm like millions of other people.

When you reach your goal weight your journey does not end. You need to have the strength to continue your healthy journey. It takes hard work and determination. I guess I just sabotage myself. Thinking I was strong enough to do it on my own. Well, I was wrong! So I have come home to Sparkpeople and have signed up for BLC -23 team! I'm very excited to dedicate myself to the hard work and dedication that is expected. This is a 12 week challenge. "Participation not Perfection" is the motto. Weekly weigh-ins, Last Chance Workout, Tight'n and Tone, Weekend Challenges as well as posting on the team's page.

So after taking measurements, weighing, and taking before shots I'm READY! Let me tell you when I see my photos it is so embarrassing! I decided to post them on my page to reminded me to work hard to get back in shape!

Finding time to accomplish exercise and health can be difficult, but it is really just making yourself come first.

My Goals:
My goals are:

Put myself first

To work on being fit and healthy on an everyday basis.

Work on inches as well as the scale.

To take my vitamins and calcium daily, as well as my Rx medication.

Laugh everyday!
Have a positive outlook!

My Program:
I plan on eating healthier than I have been, which consisted of chips and wine :o) Also, I plan on doing cardio most days. I need to add some strength training and flexible exercises too.

The plan is:

To eat more veggies and fruits.

Sunday - gym

Monday - Gym - strength training and 30 minutes of cardio

Tuesday - Flexibility Exercises - Balance - Core. 2 - 30 minute Cardio sessions

Wednesday - Strength Training/Gym and 30 minutes of Cardio

Thursday - Balance, Flexibility, Core and 2 - 30 minute sessions of Cardio

Friday - Strength Training/Gym and 30 minutes of Cardio

Saturday - gym







Personal Information:
I'm from Sacramento, CA, where I have lived all my life. I am 57 years old, married to my wonderful husband. We have been married for almost 29 years. I have son 37 years old and a daughter who is 27.



Other Information:
I'm an animal lover. I have three dogs and one cat. I love to read mystery books. I also, love to garden. Digging in the ground is a great stress reliever.

Hi!!!!!! How are you? I'm doing well. I'm on the 5% summer challenge and it's been a challenge. Ha! I'm pushing but this summer has put a bunch of obstacles in my way and I'm not navigating them too well. I need to get back into it. I keep telling myself I should start tomorrow. I need to change that to I will start today!

Have you done a 5% challenge before? The team is fantastic. You should consider joining if you've never done one.

I'm glad you're doing well and enjoying your new team.

Things here are good. I'm a bit out of sorts these last few weeks, but that would be due to a lot of weekend travel. I hope to get my wits back this weekend after we do a whole lot of nothing! =)
