Being healthy is not about going through a short period of torment and sacrifice in hopes that you lose weight. There's no quick fix or magic pill. Being healthy is a lifestyle that is formed by following good habits. It takes work and it takes time. Most importantly it takes making changes you can live with and improve upon.

My Goals:
In the beginning my goal was to lose weight, but as I have gained distance on my journey my goals have changed to do what I can to live a happy healthy life. Exercise, Eat Clean and Challenge Myself.


My Program:
Training to run my second Spartan Race by trail running and using fitness programs such as 21 Day Fix Extreme, PiYo, T25, P90X and Les Mills Combat



Personal Information:
I live in Indianapolis. I have a full-time job as a graphic designer. I love sports, music and food. I've always been active and involved in sports, which helped me maintain a healthy weight for most of my younger years. However, my habits as a young person didn't work as I got older. I gained weight, and I didn't understand why I couldn't lose any of it. I was depressed, disappointed in myself and in denial. Then thankfully, one day in September 2011 I decided I needed to make a lifestyle change. I swallowed my pride, took a deep breath and took the the first step. I haven't looked back since. I've learned that being healthy isn't about feeling deprived. It's about making good choices and developing good habits that I can live with. I've lost 30 pounds and I continually make changes to improve my health. As my body shrinks my confidence, positivity and personality grows. I'm a different person than I was on that September day.
