I was just about to submit my final exams to become a certified Life Coach and Reiki Master when my school closed!
Other interests include reading, writing, country music and crochet.
I am recuperating from a central lumpectomy. Just learned my cancer is stage 2. I have radiation and drugs ahead of me and, possibly, chemo. My tumor is being sent on an airplane to California to test its 21 genes. I will be in a clinical trial (depending on the number of genes that test positive). Depending on that number, I may or may not go through chemo.
I enter this information last, because it's the last thing on which I try to focus. I attempt to do what I can in each moment and enjoy life.
I have lost weight through Spark People, learned that EXERCISE MAKES ME FEEL GOOD and made many friends! I sincerely hope you will have a similar experience here.

Personal Information:
I was laid off by the State of Illinois but was called back to work in a public aid office in a gun and gang infested neighborhood at the beginninf of Sep. I reside in Chicago, have 4 grown kids, 4 kids-in-law (not counting partner's kids and their spouses) and 8 grandchildrenwith another on the way! You can also see Suz holding her first grandchild...my step-grand daughter.
I'm in a same sex relationship now for 11 1/2 years. A Course in Miracles has made me realize that Love knows no bounds.
Other Information:
I used to read constantly on personal/spiritual growth. Now I find A Course in Miracles is all I need.
I have one book published. Here is an original quote:
"The answer to 'Where is God?' lies deep within each of us, Therein lies the irony, for where the answer resides, there its subject dwells."
I do still read the occasional best seller, historical fiction (my daughter got me into Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series...time travel historical romance!) and lez fiction.
With SP, I am making my ILLUSIONARY body better. The reality is my Spirit in Heaven.
