Starting Over at 60!!
Unusual circumstances brought me to this " Fork in the Road". Ive lived a healthy, active lifestyle. My " dual lifestyle" included 30 yrs as an engineer, and 45 yrs as a professional musician. Ive been on tour many times,raised 4 kids, and I always have a bicycle with me to explore new places and I used to race 20 yrs ago. All this and good nutrition has kept me active and young looking. Unusual circumstances brought me to this " Fork in the Road". Ive lived a healthy, active lifestyle. My " dual lifestyle" included 30 yrs as an engineer, and 45 yrs as a professional musician. Ive been on tour many times,raised 4 kids, and I always have a bicycle with me to explore new places and I used to race 20 yrs ago. All this and good nutrition has kept me active and young looking. (You'll see what I mean when I post my pix!) 6 yrs ago I was paralyzed in a horrible accifent. Years of therapy and determination and im 95% healthy and active again. I recently lost my family and kids in a crazy and totally unnecessary divorce. I now live alone and still have my older 2 kids and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I started binge eating 6 months ago and went from 135lbs to 168!! I decided I'd HAD ENOUGH. I felt awful and it got difficult to cycle or work out. I Googled "calorie counter" and it took me here to SPARKPEOPLE! I feel like all of the great people here are my NEW FAMILY! I just bought a scale today and I'm tracking EVERYTHING. Ive been SO MOTIVATED, and I've lost 4 lbs in the last 10 days. THANKS TO YOU ALL, I feel healthier, my energy level is way up, and my nutrition has improved 100%. My Program:
Just bought a new scale which tracks my weight, body fat, hydration, body mass index, and bone mass. I'm cycling indoors and out. Pushups, situps and hand weights. I walk as much as possible and researching new recipes and low calorie, healthy nutrition.

I love cycling, I'm an accomplished musician. Went to Woodstock when I was 15! Love the ocean, Carribean, Atlantic, Fla. Keys, Bahamas. Needed some support for my weight, so I love SPARKPEOPLE.
