6'7" Giant needs to be more active and lose some weight! I had gastic bypass surgery in 2001... top weight was 418. My main problem is INACTIVITY!!! I commute to work 3 days a week - FOUR HOURS a day sitting on the train!!! Then at work I SIT FOR 8 HOURS A DAY 5 days a week! I commute to work 3 days a week - FOUR HOURS a day sitting on the train!!! Then at work I SIT FOR 8 HOURS A DAY 5 days a week! In the past when I did get to the gym and exercise I really did enjoy it. I took classes and loved the cardio machines. Strength training isn't so fun, but I do know that I need it and can remember how good I felt when I worked out regularly. Would love to find a regular workout partner in Oceanside. I'm cleaning out my garage to make a workout area. I LOVE using the cross trainer... I feel great afterwards, so I just need to get it set up and USE IT! I also have a bow flex and I've started watching and following some good yoga classes on the TV. At work I always take the stairs and I have my boss as a friend who wants to get healthy too, so that's a great support. My food intake is pretty good... I have cut out most processed foods and sodas. I drink WATER and LOVE IT... might have a Coke once a week. I never eat foods with sugar substitutes as these do not make me feel well. I have grow over 50 different types of organic fruit on my property and started growing veggies for the first time this season. I'm not vegetarian, but prefer fruits and veggies... I have a hard time getting enough protein in. I LOVE kidney beans, so I need to keep those handy.
