Hi, all. I've been a Sparker since April '08 and I've reached my goal. Wow!! Time has gone by quickly! I'm finding that the maintaining aspect is harder than the losing. So many temptations because --hey -- I'm where I need to be. Unfortunately, it's so easy to fall off the wagon and put the pounds back on. There ought to be another term for maintaining that sounds more motivating. Maintenance sort of sounds like what you have to do for something that's old and about to fall apart. ...

Hmmmm.... maybe that is accurate.

Anyway, I'm now 60 and plan to be around for a long time. I didn't make my goal to have a 6-pack by the time I turned 60. Do you think I could get one by the time I'm 70?

My Goals:
I am at my goal weight of 120 and am trying to maintain it. I would also like to help my husband get his weight under control as he has cholesterol issues. I have eliminated soda pop from my diet completely. I used to drink 2-3 cans a day. Now I would just like to firm everything up .

My Program:
I'm not really watching calories any more. I eat 3 servings of fruit, 5 servings of veggies and 3 servings of whole grains every day. I also eat at least 21 g of fiber every day and try to keep my sodium intake under 2300 mg. I'm having trouble with drinking water. Right now I'm striving for 6 glasses. By the time I get all that in i'm pretty full.

I try to work out at least 30 minutes daily. I am focusing on my pelvic floor every other day as I have issues in that area. Weekends my husband and I usually play tennis for an hour if possible. I also walk 20 min. on breaks at work.

Personal Information:
My husband and I live in Oregon north of Bend. We have 3 grown kids and 5 grandkids ranging from a 7 to 21 (3 girls and 2 boys). I'm an office manager at a domestic water utility. I like to play golf, tennis, and swim. (Not particulary good at any of them, but have fun trying)

Other Information:
I love to read and love a variety of authors from Dean Koontz to Janet Evanovich and lots in between. I love movies but can't get my husband to go. Love live theater productions too.

Hi there!
Glad to be back. :)
I haven't been on my bike for a while, but hopefully the weather will make it easy on me and have low humidity, and cooler temps! Both those things will kill my lungs way fast! lol
My girls are doing well! I have a Jr. and a Soph. as well as one in 6th and 4th as well.
