My ups and downs

I am an active 74 year old. I love to travel with my husband and our friends. We try to go someplace interesting every year. Last year we went on a Mediterranean Cruise and had a great time. We also enjoy dancing and go square dancing and round dancing every week. Both of us enjoy the dance classes we take. It is fun and good exercise.

I have been working to lose weight for several years. I gain some and then lose some and then gain it again. I am tired of losing the same pounds over and over. This time I plan to keep it off by weighing myself regularly and not allowing the scale to creep up. I would like to say this is working, but I still have a hard time staying with my plans when I am away from home. I know this has to be a lifetime change and I am working on it, but I am not perfect on this yet. At least I have made several baby steps in the right direction of my goal.
Thanks to all my Spark Friends for their continued support and encouragement.

Thanks for stopping by my blog on Streaks. I have actually never tried a streak before (not that I was consciously tracking) so this will be something new for me.

I understand your height problem in relation to your weight. I'm 5'2 and my goal originally was to get to 125, although right now I'd be pleased to see 135 which would put me at a healthy BMI. I keep yo-yoing between 137 and 139. Perhaps the no candy streak will help.

Good Luck on reaching that 130 goal by September. For me the time during summer is easier than the winter months.

Thanks for browsing through my art tour -- bunnies, puppies, kitties are all soft spots for me. I remember one time I had quite a collection of mother/baby art, various kinds of animals in it (No people at all) and one in particular was an elephant as that's another thing I used to collect.

I would have lost even more if the fire had been in our Glendale home, but it was bad enough as it is. So sad when you lose originals, although they all feel like originals to me, because you never know just where to find one just like it for replacement.

Have a great day! Eve emoticon

Thanks for the idea! I already walked on the treadmill so I think I'll go onto the nap now.
Have a good weekend!

Thanks for the mixer goodie. It does look like the one I got. I'm glad you're enjoying my picture blogs. I may be able to use my ice cream maker for good frozen yogurt too, that must be better than all the stuff I'm putting into the cream for the ice cream.

Have an excellent day! Today's holiday is National Spinach Day, be sure to indulge in a healthy holiday!

Hi 1Mankey. If you use carrots instead of cauliflower in the Bobotie recipe you will need to use about 60 - 80 grams. About 2 small grated carrots.
