Live, Ride, Love...the motto of a cyclist!

I was stuck at a range of 170-175 ever since the birth of my daughter 2 years ago. I struggle with the pain of endometriosis from time to time and that puts a downer on my fitness. I had surgery in Nov. '07 to remove the endo and have felt great...NO PAIN! The downer is, it can and probably will grow back.

1.2.09 - In Nov. I had a cyst rupture, once again, there is pain. I'm going to persevere through it and continue to stay healthy! My weight has crept back up to 164, but I am determined to get it back down!
Jan. 26 will be my follow up appt from they cyst and I will then be able to make my 2009 goals. As of right now it is to eat healthy, get as much exercise as my body will allow and bring my weight back down.

3/28/09 - Hardly any pain anymore, still have a little here and there, but mostly gone...yippee! Allergies are kicking in. Now that hopefully spring is on its way, I'll get outside more for some runs and more bike rides. Allergies and cold weather kept me sidelined this week, am going to get back into no matter what!!!

4/29/09 - Had another cyst rupture a couple weeks ago. Finally was able to exercise again this week. Still hurts, but now on bc pills to try and help reduce the formation of cysts. Will get through the summer and my races and then discuss with the doc about a hysterectomy...I'm SICK of it!!

Thank you to all for your words of encouragement and well wishes, it's great to "hear" it from so many people, many of whom I've never met face to face. It feels good and it's great to know there are many caring people in this crazy world we live in!

Blessings to all and to a GREAT 2009!!

Hey Julie!

Sounds like you've been pretty busy with Life and fitness this past winter/spring! To answer your questions from your last post, I am planning of doing Hickory Grove this year, and potentially Iowa Games, but we are on vacation for 2 weeks heading into IA Games, so I don't want to be thinking about the tri all vacation! Been indoor cycling a lot all winter and got a new bike a few days ago, so that is exciting for me, but other than that, it has been the usual AM runs and some swimming sprinkled in! Are you familiar with the Total Immersion swimming technique? A friend loaned me the DVD about it and it seems like it could really help my less than perfect swim stroke! emoticon Take care! Hope we can get together and swim or just chat and jog this summer sometime! I'm volunteering at the Hy-Vee this year, so that will undoubtedly get my spark into a full Tri flame!
