Hopeful to have found the key
This is not a success story. Or at least it did not use be. I’ve been obese all my adult life and still am. When I registered with Spark People just after New Year 2006 my hopes to lose were high. And I lost a bit. But then gained it all back and more. It wasn’t the sites fault. If you are not ready for change it simply will not happen. And if you are not sure why you want that change or if you want it for the wrong reasons it gets even worse. I am not sure that I am ...
This is not a success story. Or at least it did not use be. I’ve been obese all my adult life and still am. When I registered with Spark People just after New Year 2006 my hopes to lose were high. And I lost a bit. But then gained it all back and more. It wasn’t the sites fault. If you are not ready for change it simply will not happen. And if you are not sure why you want that change or if you want it for the wrong reasons it gets even worse. I am not sure that I am ready for a big change now. I am not sure that I will ever be. But I am certain there are a couple of small changes that will make a difference in my quality of life. Manageable adjustments in my habits that will not impress anyone but will make me feel better. So I am starting with those and this time my biggest goal will be not to change myself but to be myself.

My Goals:
Feeling content with my lifestyle. This includes goals that concern both my body and my mind. I need to learn how to control stress in my life and to find the time to incorporate some long forgotten activities for the soul like reading, photography and scrapbooking.
My Program:
Listening to my body and emotions and making only those changes that I need, will benefit from and can manage. This includes eating controlled portions 3-5 times a day, having protein and complex carbs at every meal (with some exceptions for snacks), taking all four of my salsa classes a week and hopefully adding some extra activity to that.
Personal Information:
I'm Bulgarian Living in Sofia Bulgaria. Being a translator I have one of those modern jobs that keep you in front of the PC for long hours and at times manage to stress you so much they drain every little drop of energy that you might somehow muster. But don't be fooled, I love my job. As hard as it may be at times it is always rewarding and I'm not changing it. I am currently in a great relationship with a great guy, have quite a large gang of very good friends and to be frank I really feel proud of the people by my side.
