Hi Deejon - thanks for the welcome. I like your outlook and you're right. I've always lived my life my way and want others to do the same.

You will make the rest of us feel old !! OH, well, welcome anyway, this is a fun place to visit, good for a laugh or two often times.
You will be encouraged by us old folks and the struggles we sometimes have, let's face it by this age, who cares what others think !? as long as it is fun and of some type of benefit to all.

Hello everyone,

I just joined the other day and am spending a little time checking out the message boards. I'll be 50 in January and I want to lose the 30-35 extra pounds I gained since moving from NYC to Florida. The lifestyle here is soooooo NYC, we walk everywhere and I never needed a car (I didn't even get my license until I was 31)....but after moving to Florida on my 39th birthday the pounds started creeping on me. I'm short, only 4'11" so those extra pounds are very noticeable.

Hope to make some friends here!!
