I don't think I've ever had a twinkie, but we used to have Ding Dongs once in a while when I was a kid. I don't think I'd eat one now, because I would read the label before eating! Lots of chemicals

Didn't know they were going out of business. I've never tasted twinkies, however, so I don't think I would start them at that price!!! emoticon emoticon

I wouldn't want a twinkie even if they paid me.

No way! Haven't even thought about them in many years -- so won't miss them. Sorry, however, that so many will lose their jobs.

Considering the fact that $10,000 would allow me to get the tummy tuck that I really need, I think spending it on a box of twinkies would be a complete waste.

No, I never liked them (and wouldn't pay that even if I did). I do remember liking the Hostess cupcakes when I was a kid, but I haven't had one since I was about 12.

I used to like them as a kid but, now I noticed that the icing has become 'grainy'....little grains of sugar in it...and the cake seems dry. Maybe I had just tasted a bad batch. It is a shame though, that the business was forced to file bankruptcy. I have been in 3 unions......none of them were any good.

Mostly likely just a publicity stunt. Never fear, twinkies will be back. Some company will buy the recipe/rights and continue to manufacture them. My bet is Little Debbie. If there's a market someone will fill it.

Someone is selling a box of twinkies for 10,000 dollars!!!! I mean hey I'll miss Hostess to my first love was their cupcakes, but you'd have to be a complete nut to pay that, I know I wouldn't even if it was a box of cupcakes and I had disposable money..... u?
