Without ST, up to 25% of your weight loss can come from lost muscle rather than fat. Including ST in your program will help maintain your existing muscle mass, and ensure that more of your weight loss comes from fat alone, rather than muscle. And it's a lot easier to maintain your existing muscle, than it is to add it back later.
ST should definitely be part of your program NOW.

Yes! Start st now! I would start out with 2- 3 days a week and then if you feel you need more build from there. Just don't do too much too soon because you don't want to overwhelm yourself by doing too much
I LOVE zumba & used to go to classes 3x/week. Start ST now. A lot of times, some people alternate cardio & ST each day, which I have done; some do both, but you're supposed to preferably do one first over the other. www.sparkpeople.com/resource/fitness_artic les.asp?id=773 Good luck! Sounds like you're doing
There are wonderful toning benefits as well as calorie burning boosts to ST.
