thanks you guys for the support!!! i know im not the only one that has gained the weight back but im still disappointed in myself.. love this site... so many positive people.... thanks again... planning a healthy fathers day dinner and going to "play" in the pool with my 8 year old....

I'm sure with the support of your hubby, you're going to make it this time. We can't change the past, but we can influence and change the future. You are NOT alone. Just about every single member of Spark has had the same thing happen in their lives. Every single one of us has gained, lost and regained the weight. BUT, we made a change and so can you. You CAN break the cycle ? How ?
You start with some simple changes you can stick with. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated. Start with some simple goals. Example, if you're not used to eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies, set a goal to eat 2-3 servings each day for one week. If you're not used to drinking 8 glasses of water, set a goal to drink 2-4 glasses each day for one week. If you're not used to regular exercise, set a goal to take a 30 minute walk each day for one week. Once you've achieved these goals. Then you set new ones.
And that's how good health starts. It starts with one small change. a study just came out that said making one healthy change to your life leads to another, which leads to another and another and another... before you know it, all those healthy changes do add up fast.
Be patient with yourself and your body. Don't be frustrated if the scale doesn't move as fast as you'd like. As the Coaches all say,"trust the process".

just stepped on the scale and it read 190 pounds. UGH!! 2 years ago I was 196 and lost 40 pounds.... how and why did i go back to my bad habits?? i know i can't dwell on the past..
have been so wishy washy about logging and excercising for a long time now... can't get my "mojo" going again. i stepped on the scale so prepared that the number was going to be over 200... it wasn't but I looked at my husband and laid it all out on the line... i don't think i have told him how much i weigh in a long time.. he asked how many calories he had consumed today.. So he joined SP and I really want to do this together this time...
i feel like by December 16 2012 I will have lost the 40 again and maybe more.... i guess the reason i feel better is i am looking at the big picture.. my 40th bday is in 13 months and i want to be the best i can be... just had to put this out there... i have to quit hiding and pretending... just do it!!
