I think I know what you mean, TD. I try to find healthier alternatives to satisfy my cravings. I use vegetables in place of chips and crackers when I eat hummus or guacamole. But sometimes, I really want chips!
I like the Rice Works chips. And there are some good whole grain crackers (Kashi has several varieties). Not health food really, but a healthier alternative for an occasional treat.

Potatoes are not grains so no potato chips can be whole grain. Tortilla chips are whole grain as they use corn. Some pita chips are (365 Whole Foods brand).
Although they are whole grain, the calories and fat are similar to other chips. I would not consider them a healthy food choice.
