Colored but after Christmas, when the prices drop I am going to buy a new tree with the LED white lights built in.

For outside I like white lights OR the old 1950's style colored lights (not the new small LED ones, yuck).

For the Christmas Tree I like colored ones (ant style).

I also like the white lights for outside year round.

I agree with JULIA1154 100%!! I would never complain about someone's choice of lights and decorations at Christmas, especially when it's a neighbor. It may not be your taste, but I'd keep that to myself, keeping in mind what the holidays are all about (especially when in the company of children). With so much negative in the world, why be critical of a neighbor doing something as harmless (and joyous) as decorating their house for the holidays?

I think both can look really nice. White can look very classy, multi more festive. Really, it doesn't matter; it's all about having some Christmas spirit! My children enjoy driving around and seeing decorated houses regardless of the color of the lights! They all look beautiful.

multi colored. do you think that is a generation thing? Older folks are more likely to use multi colored and younger are more likely to use white?

I like white or all one color... I guess I'm boring :) There's a house behind us that has tons of multi colored lights and they all blink at different times plus a bunch of light up lawn ornaments... I'm glad they're just far enough away where I don't have to look at them all the time :-P

One house in my neighborhood did a beautiful job, they have straight red lights on the roof lines, then these giant stars in red white and blue on each roof peak, and some of those white light reindeer in the front yard. It looks really great.

I like both - I can't imagine finding something to complain about with any Christmas lights whatsoever, frankly. I'm just glad that people go to the trouble and expense of sharing the celebration with us.

I have always loved the look of multi color lights at Christmas... White lights to me are boring and when your driving at night they bother your eyes... There is a house near us that does all white lights, reindeer, snowman and it's so blinding I think you can see the house from Space. I just think the multi colored are fun and make it more festive, that's why we choose the colored lights just makes me smile...

Starting to like the new me!
