Most anytime is good but I don't recommend doing cardio just before bed....get your heart pumping and it could be difficult getting to sleep!

I love early in the morning as it seems to put some real pep in my day. Having said that, I often don't work out til late afternoon which is more convenient. Thanks for jogging me on this one. I think I can fit in a 10 minute exercise from the video library in the mornings... emoticon

If you're looking for a magic "burn more calories at X time of day" there isn't one. :) Exercise when you can fit it in. I thought I would be a night time exerciser, given that I am NOT a morning person, but my routine likes the morning workout, and I like the classes at my gym better, so I work out in the morning after I drop my daughter off at school.

Writer, mother, wife, and breadwinner. I love to run, but running doesn't love me, so I'm switching to my low-impact bike.

I think the best time is right after you wake up. But, anytime is better than no time at all!

I like to do it in the morning but during week days, I have to do it in the evening after work

Anytime you can do it! For me, I like to get it in first thing in the AM. I get up at 5:30, pack hubby's lunch and ship him out the door, gulp down a glass of water and head to the living room to do a Walk Away the Pounds video. Then I hit the shower, make my breakfast and have 5 minutes to enjoy the house to myself before the kids start getting up. If I do more through the day it's just icing, but I know I have done what I absolutely had to do and gotten it out of the way. Homeschooling 3 of my 4 kids doesnt' leave me much time once they are up for the day, so I do what works for me.

I agree with doing it when it fits and you are comfortable with it. My favorite time is 4-5 pm.. I am starting to get tired and it wakes me up and sets me up for a lighter meal .

The absolute best time is whenever you can fit it in, even if it's just ten minutes (that counts)!

A agree..whenever is best for you! I usually split it up (I have to walk 2 hours a day docs orders) 30 mins before work both 15 min breaks and then an hour after work. Second nature now!! I walk...swim in the summer, or recumbant bike.

There is no black and white answer to this question. The best time to work out is based on your calendar and schedule and when you can best fit it in. You will want to avoid working out too close to bed but other than that...if you have the's the best time!

Can someone please tell me when the best time to do cardio is?

Thanks to everyone that's trying to help me I need all the support that I can get I really want to get rid of all this fat and me a more healthier me.
