It sounds like it could be pantry moths / mealworms. Those guys are really hard to get rid of once they get into your house. Best thing to do would be to get it out of the house pronto or you could end up with a problem (I have had this problem and would not wish it on my worst enemy if I had one!)

They have been infected with mites,probably there before they were packaged.I had them before and took them back!

probably is the wormy stuff, like a cocoon, but these pecans have been shelled.

Could be anything.

Pecan is a tree nut, so it could be that cobwebby stuff that is produced by worms (yuck) that you see on trees sometimes. Could be something the pecan produces itself. Maybe a spider?

Hi you all. I bought a pack of Diamond pecan pieces the other day and noticed what appeared to be cobwebs in with some of the pieces stuck together. What in the world is this? Anyone else experienced that?
