Thanks for that information. Hungry Girl just had a similar recipe of something served in a little edible cup but it was fillo dough from the Athens Company. I don't think tha tis sweet however.

You are right, 60 calories isn't that much and it would taste great as wwell a slimit the amount of treat I put in this small cup.

Thanks, chris emoticon

Low cal, no. Dairy free and gluten free, possible. There are somethings where its just not worth messing around with the original to me unless its related to allergies. If I remember correctly, there isn't a lot of room for that in the recipe because its basically flour, sugar, butter, and eggs. One cookie is only about 60 calories anyway since they are so thin.

Your post reminded me of krumkaker, which is a thin Norwegian waffle that can be easily moulded into a cone, or a bowl: mylittlenorway.com/2012/11/krumkaker/ , but still.....you would need the krumkaker iron.

Oh! Probably that is why I never knew how to make them. I don't have a pizzelle maker.

Have you tried making them low cal?

Thanks, chris

I tend to make waffle cones/dishes out of pizzelles since I have a pizzelle press. When the cookies come out of the press, they're still soft so you can mold them into a cone using a hand juicer (or one of those wooden cone molds) or into cups by using a jumbo muffin tin.

An SP article about choosing the lowest cal. ice cream has a picture of about 1/2 cup of ice cream in a cup cake sized waffle cone dish. Is there a recipe for the dishes or can I buy these someplace. I love waffle cones but they hold a big load of ice cream. These smaller ones would be beter. Thanks, chris
