Can you tell me exactly what you did when you are creating the recipe and then entering an ingredient? Having the details of exactly what you are doing will be helpful in figuring out what is going on for you.
After I create a listing for an ingredient [last one was "graham cracker crumbs (1 cup)"] and save it, I can never find it again. Today after I saved it, and tried to go back to my recipe, for some reason the recipe page was gone. I opened a new one and tried again, but had to re-enter the ingredient again because I couldn't find it. This isn't the first time I've struggled with this. Am I doing something wrong?
JAG600 - There are eggs and other items that can be found in the nutrition database. If you search for those things, you should be able to find most of them in the database. If you don't, then you may need to pick the closest thing or manually enter it.
I guess maybe I'm different, but I can't use the ingredients list (consisting mainly of prepackaged or pre-assembled foods) they simply won't work for me. I typically consume individual items such as an egg, 2 ounces of whey protein, homemade health bread, etc, you get my train of thought here. I don't consume prepackaged anything. Can i somehow put these items in here or do I have to drop this site. HELP.
Yes, when you click on the add an ingredient button, you can then click on the link in there for "Enter a Food Not Listed." You can then add that item and its nutritional info, which will then add it to your recipe.
I have an ingredient that isn't listed under the "add an ingredient" file. Is there some way to manually enter the nutrtional information for that one ingredient so that the calculation will be accurate?
