I am begining my rainbow. Great idea with shortening the stick. I think that has been an issue with me over the years. I would have that stick way too long...
Congrats to you for getting to the end of your rainbows.

The only way to begin a new rainbow is to end the last one. Life is a wondrous journey of many rainbows with pots of gold waiting. Pots of gold come from within, always, through achievement, not through wishful thinking. No one but the individual pilgrim knows the true worth or the wealth that awaits the fulfillment of a rainbow journey.

I do think that many set the carrot too far ahead and I do agree that can be discouraging. I like to have some short term goals, and things to look forward to, but I also try to take time to enjoy each day while I'm working on the goal, or waiting for the great event in the future. Life is short and all we really know we have for sure is the moment that we are in.
I believe it's never the end of a rainbow........it's the beginning of a new rainbow. A new journey......to new places...to learning about the new part of this journey...the new way of living...working out...continuing on.........Remember a rainbow is God's love for you........

There are always new challenges and ways of doing things. You may be at the peak of fitness, so now the challenge is finding new and interesting ways of maintaining, as you say. As well, maybe you would make a great coach to others!

Congrats KJ on reaching the end of the rainbow and good luck on the continuing journey of maintenance. I haven't succeeded in maintenance myself yet, last time I tried I failed miserably. That doesn't mean I won't keep trying next time I get to the end of the rainbow.
Like many others I have been on this healthy journey trip for a long time and always with the carrot set way too far ahead never to be reached. So I decided to make the stick shorter and in turn I discovered I just may be at the end of the rainbow and probably have been here for a while now.....huh. It's STAYING here that the challenge now, wish me luck and good counting!
