I love to cook things in the crockpot while I am at work. When I come home from the gym food is ready. Then I make lunch and dinner size portions for the rest of the week. Omelets are also good and sandwich fixins.

the most successful strategy for me is cooking for more than one meal and freezing it in portion size containers. It also works great with roast chicken made ahead of time...then just nuke a handful of bagged frozen veggies...or maybe a nice salad...and you have a meal in under 6 minutes. It's just a matter of planning ahead.

Soup, yogurt/cottage cheese, PB and graham crackers/apple, small baked potato, salsa and a bit of greek yogurt, oatmeal, hardboiled eggs, etc. paired with a fruit and/or a veggie. I try to always keep around cut/washed fruit and veggies that I can eat raw. Additionally, I always keep some Amy's meals or other frozen item that I can pop in the oven/microwave and have for when I am feeling super lazy, but I try to batch cook on the weekends, so that I have food in the fridge ready to be reheated most days.

My go to lazy dinner is always an omelet with whatever vege I have around to throw in it. or sliced deli meat, which I always have on hand, wrapped around a piece of cheese and an avocado slice. 2 or 3 of those with a cup of milk and I'm full.

I can be really lazy when it comes to cooking - or come in and want to eat - now! I tend to buy packs of ready made up salad and I've always got tomatoes in the fridge. I buy packs of small new potatoes and cook far more than I need (I don't peel them). They last 2 or 3 days. Then if I can't be bothered to cook - or want to eat now, I'll have salad, straight out of the bag, tomatoes, cooked potatoes or couscous etc if I've got it with cold meat (or open a can of tuna.)
Voila - 5 minutes maximum.

Some great ideas here,think I'll start chopping some salad up ready to go, and yes i agree exercising first thing really helps me too emoticon emoticon

Keeping frozen chicken and fish where you can just thaw and bake. Serve with some brown rice you can get a 10 minute kind. Pair it with some salad and healthy dressing.
Making a quick omelet with veggies and cheese and some whole grain toast
Tuna or lean meat deli sandwich on whole grain and a microwave sweet potato
All are quick

Too bad we can't get salads delivered.

I keep a bowl of salad ready to go in the fridge. I also cook several chicken breasts at one time and package them in single servings.

Summer isn't hard for me, but when winter snow hits all I want to do is eat warm, hearty soups and stews and sweets.

Great question. Healthy choice soup, or progresso light soup. Some salad. I don't have soup every day, helps to change it up.

Well. I'm very new to this. But I learned the tip from the articles about freezing dinner left overs in single serving containers to be extremely helpfull for when I'm too tired/hungry to make something from scratch.
Also, taco meat in the freezer and a constant supply of salad in the fridge.

So recently over the summer hols I have found myself ordering too many take-outs and going way over my calorie/fat/etc limit.

I either just can't be bothered or am just too damn tired to care.
My questions are how do you stop sabataging yourself?
what quick and easy meals like I'm talking 15-20 mins and its ready to go in your mouth can you suggest?
And lastly does anyone else find that the summer holiday's really screws their diet and exercise routine up?
