Go to the Dr and have your blood test. I found on my last routine blood test that mine was not functioning right. Age doesn't matter. My granddaughter is 18 and she has been on med for a year now.

I think it might be a good idea to report these symptoms to your primary-care doctor and see if a thyroid evaluation (via blood test) might be in order. All the best to you - what frustrating symptoms these all must be..

Don't try to diagnose and treat yourself or ask for ideas on a message board. See a doctor.
That's my idea for the day. Good luck.

Don't think - see a doctor for blood work. It's crucial. My first indication was thoughts of depression and I NEVER was a person to suffer from depression.

A detox does not help hypothyroidism.
Why guess? Take the blood test and you will know for sure. Self-diagnosis is usually inaccurate....

I am 22, active and otherwise healthy, and I can't figure out why the weight won't budge. I'm tired and Moody and get horrible headaches. I have most of the symptoms: dry skin, thinning hair, fatigue, and worst of all high cholesterol and stubborn weight. Despite dieting and exercise for months, the scale hasn't moved at all. It makes me not even want to try anymore. :-( has anyone ever had any luck with a juice detox? I'm completely out of ideas.
