Turned 60 today and I am thinking about going back to class to take some fun things I've never had a chance to take before. Maybe an art class or dance class, not sure yet, but I definitely will do something. You're never too old to learn. Hope you're still enjoying SP.
Not after 50 but I did go back to school for another degree when i was in my early 40s. I loved the experience - I had so much more knowledge and discipline to draw on and my study habits were great compared to when I was 20! I'd do it again in a heart beat.

I just completed my 8th semester at the community college. I'm 52 years old and in order to get a promotion at work, I need a degree...23 years experience isn't enough...Imagine that, Anyway, I love it. I feel so "smart". I'm usually the oldest person in my classes, and the younger folks make me feel like the wise old woman on top of the mountain. My grades are good, my self-confidence (school wise) is high. I see a lot of baby boomers on campus, so we are never too old to go back to school. I work full time so I can only take two classes a semester and not make myself crazy. It's even funny how now that the money to pay for school is out of my pocket, how seriously I take it.

I just finished taking an 8 week home health aide class. I am 56. I found it interesting and a good kind of stress! Has anyone else taken courses after 50?
