I do best when I indulge my sweet tooth. Sometimes I do that with fruit, sometimes with a couple of squares of dark chocolate, and very occasionally, with something decadent like cookies or a cupcake or whatnot.
Jello w/ a dollop of cool whip, a pkg of kids gummy fruit snacks has only 70 calories, small sliced banana w/ dollop of cool whip and a sprinkle of cinnamon, toss a frozen few berries in a blender and about 1/2 cup milk for a quick milkshake-no added sugar needed. cut a apple into slices, place in mug, add enough water to cover bottom of mug microwave until soft (about a minute or two), add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. Cane sugar does have some health benefits. I try to stay away from artificial sweetners, sweetners made from sugar alcohols, and recently I heard from a health professional that Stevia MAY be linked to infertility in some people.
