thank you so much for the support. I am truly in awe of what you have accomplished. I would have never guessed that you weighed as much as you did. You look so naturally fit, I assumed you must have always been that way. I know how hard pregnancies can be with weight gain. You are a true inspiration. You obviously care a lot about being healthy and getting fit and you persevered and the results are incredible!!!! You should be super proud! Thanks again. xo, Eteh

Thanks! We're always our own worst critics, aren't we?

After two pregnancies and two sections... believe me it's still there, just strategically hidden. Notice I'm not wearing a bikini? ;) I guess I just have this image of myself before I became pregnant and gained weight.

You still have weight to lose to reach your goal weight, your stomach will shrink too along with the rest of you. In some of us, it's just the last to go. Your last 20-30 lbs or so will be where all the huge changes are made. My first 20-30 lbs, I honestly couldn't tell much of a difference in how I looked... but the last 20 lbs made heaps of differences. It will come, just keep doing what you're doing.

Burning fat is an all body process, and unfortunately you can't target where you lose weight from.

People like fighters and jockeys use sweating techniques to meet specific weigh in targets, but all they are losing is water weight, which will go straight back on as soon as they rehydrate. It is ACTIVITY that burns calories (and fat), not sweating.

What you can do is to continue to reduce your overall body fat through a combination of cardio, all body strength training and watching your intake, and some of it will naturally come off the belly.

Sweating is your body's way of getting rid of excess heat. By wearing a sweat suit/belt/whatever, you are reducing your body's ability to get rid of heat. This may actually mean that you can't work out as long, or as hard, and by cutting your workout short, you are actually burning LESS calories and fat, not more.

you look like youre in such amazing shape Jennilacey. you dont look like you have any fat on your tummy. im super desperate here. will to try the belt if there is even a slim chance of it working. people review it on amazon saying that they sweat a lot and they see a difference in their waste size...i guess you just think that it's the exercise theyre doing and not the belt?

ok i was really hoping something this simple would help. my belly is awful. I read that it's impossible to spot reduce so I guess I just have to restrict my calories and try to burn calories through working out?

Oh my! This used to be all the rage! It sort of circles back into popular culture every few years.

No, it doesn't work. Sweat suits originally were thought to do the same thing...but we all know wearing a sweat suit won't make you thin.

So, it sounds like such a good idea, but don't waste your money.

Does it work? I know wearing a sweat belt won't burn visceral fat but will the heat it causes help surface belly fat melt away more easily? Tia
