"Be not afraid of going slowly, only of standing still"

Thankfully, I have a choice of whether to go or not, as I'm on medical leave at the moment. They have two or three, at least, with people bringing in things almost on a daily basis and leaving in the break room
I just had a party last Sunday, but it was for my friend's first month celebration for her newest baby. I will have a church Christmas party next Tuesday and another Christmas party the following Saturday. It will be a potluck, I'm making mashed potatoes and coleslaw. It's cheaper to make them myself, though it will be more work. My Mom keeps telling me to just buy from KFC, but I think I prefer to make them myself!
My office is so disorganized that they're still debating whether to have a function next week or not (based on past experience, I'm betting not :) ) Even if we do end up with an event I'm not really into the 'cookies from Costco' scene, so am not concerned about it.
I do, however, have some seriously big family events this week, along with lots of evening meetings that cut into my workout time so will have to do some careful planning. After that, it's smooth sailing until Christmas, which really doesn't present food issues for me. Again, it's more a matter of losing control over my preferred workout times.

work isn't really an issue for me. It's all the church events: Sunday school Christmas party, Women's group Christmas party, committee gatherings, etc.
I told DH he won't be seeing much of me for the next week or so.

Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in. ~Leonard Cohen
Not sure. We get breakfast the first friday of each month, so that is over until New Years. We just had our office Christmas Party, so that's over. I don't think there is anymore planned unless we do it as a small group.
I don't usually partake because of the way I eat now. Sweets and cooked food just don't agree with me. I just felt really yucky after our holiday get together on Saturday. For $15, all I could eat was some carrot sticks and a small chicken thigh. The rest just didn't look appetizing.
