heya - im new and would like to know how to create a spark page and get that cute little thingy with the man running to show progress etc. im struggling to loose weight getting married next year march and can do with motivation and inspiration...

wow girl!!! just reading your post was inspiring!! i can imagine the journey you took to get where you are now!! I'm where you were in the beginning....still going through the diet pill/"anything else but good diet/exercise approach"....I'm looking for the easy way out and all this does is get me back to square one with a bit heavier load to carry each time. Like you, I am at 220 something and my goal weight is 170 for starters. Not asking for much more than a healthy weight goal. It's just finding that motivation that I used to have way back when.... anywayz, just thought i'd stop by to say "You Go Girl!" I'm even proud of you!!!!! by the way, my name is iva :-)
Please share with me how you were able to stick with it!! I was doing great before the holidays and then we had three weeks of ice and snow here and I stopped going to the gym and it went down hill from there. I can't seem to get back on track and am really looking for advice from someone who has succeeded. My goal is to lose 35 lbs, but I would be happy at this point to get started with 5 or 10. I feel like I have to start all over again and I can't seem to get the momentum to get going. What's your advice??

i want to start off thanking everyone out there.. Everyone who had joined sparkspeople.com and of course the biggest thank you to sparkpeople.com, i started off at 220 lbs my goal was 160 lbs before my wedding date... I followed everything they have told me to do and i was 159 the day i got married... I kept going and i am now 140 i am so happy and feel like a whole new person, i tryed so many diets and pills it was shocking..nothing worked, i hated all the women who said '' if i can do it you can too''... But now i know its true .. It really can happen.. You can start a whole new life and its so amazing..thank you all!!
