I do not think I would want football jerseys at my wedding either. A wedding should be special, even if it is a second time around.

Planning a very small ceremony next fall, not sure yet if at church, courthouse or in the backyard. Then either a restaurant meal or meal at our house - depends on if the day we plan on is a football day or not. My honey wants to maybe get married at home during halftime - would be unique I would think. But so far i don't agree with his idea of everyone wearing football jerseys. I think I want a dress, not a traditional wedding dress but just something nice that makes me feel beautiful.

I had the big church wedding and reception with all the bells and whistles the first time. This time we are going to Mexico to get married on the beach in Cancun with just a few relatives. Then it's off to our honeymoon in Tanzania. We will have a small reception when we return for close family and friends. So excited, but I have to wait. We're not getting married till summer 2014.

My first wedding was at the Court house. The ex had a court appearance for a traffic ticket the same day and only the two of us and my best friend were there.
This time around I wanted my family and friends to be part of the celebration! I wanted my Dad to walk me down the aisle and we both wanted our children to be included and part of things! We are still keeping things low key though, just doing a simple ceremony down by the lake, and then a casual reception/party to follow!

We will have a small ceremony on our new deck in the back yard. Then a big bash in the back yard for all family and friends! Thinking about a pig roast.....

New to SP and this forum.

I'm getting married in 5 days. It is a big wedding this time around. The first wedding was so small, but good time.

This time around, 2nd wedding for both FI and I, is a bigger wedding. We are having about 150 guests to a sit down meal. We both credit the family and friends for getting us through the end of our first marriages. Celebrating this day, in any way different from how we are, would just seem odd for both of us.

5 days! I can't wait!

totally agree. we are having a surprise wedding masked as a random party. there are a few accomplices in the circle, but most will be unknowing. that way it's about the family, friends, and our life together more so than the pomp and circumstance

I'm having a very small intamate ceremony with a lunch reception to follow. Only about 15 people. I had the big wedding the first time around and it was all about pleasing everyone else. This time its about me and my man and i dont care what anyone else thinks! Stress free this time around LOL
