When you find the videos and get started, you don't even need to buy weights right away - you can start with two cans of soup/veggies, etc. Then work up to soda bottles filled with water. emoticon

Make up your own system. You can do all kinds of things in seated workouts. Buy some hand weights, and you can do shoulder presses, laterals, biceps curls, triceps extensions, dips, leg lifts.

You can also do crunches, pushups ( chair makes them easier ), and body weight calf raises ( any step ), as well as squats. If you can do pull-ups, you can work the entire body, with just one set of dumbbells, or resistance bands. Back, and Chest are harder.

Weight training is just a simulated use of the muscle you are training. So flex the muscle, and see how it bends, and then add resistance, with body weight, bands, or free weights.

If you are wheelchair bound, then some of these may be limited, but there are still quite a few that you can do in a chair.

You also could make your own video once you get a plan set. I am sure that there are many people in your situation, who would like something like this due to disability, or being a beginner. When I was 361, and just out of the hospital ( congestive heart failure ), I did exercise from the edge of my couch with 5 & 10 lb dumbbells. I worked up to walking 1/4 mile round trip to my mailbox ( trailer park ), and kept improving from there. We all have to start somewhere, and I think a lot of people are at the beginning still, wondering how to get started.

Be the change you want to see in the world. Figure out the easiest exercises for each body part, and set up a beginner workout that you can do at home, and make a blog about it. You may be surprised to find that you may help , and inspire dozens of people.

FUNGI777, does have a small selection of chair workout DVDs listed. As others noted, they aren't the ones by Coach Nicole. Take a look on amazon, but before you buy, check your local library. Your local library is not only a great resource for books, you can borrow DVDs too. Check your local library to see if they have any chair workout DVDs in stock. If you like one, then you can see if it is available on amazon.

Also, there are tons of free chair videos posted on YOUTUBE. That's another good resource for workout videos too.

I'm sure there are seated workout DVDs available, just not the Spark ones.

i hope they will be in the future, for most of us that need a seated work out we cant do it in a desk chair and need to work out in another room beside our office. there is a market out there, i believe.

is it possible to buy some of these seated workout tapes. i can watch them on my pc but i cant do the exercises in my desk chair. my room is so small i need to play these tapes on the tv to be able to do them.
